How many churches are there in the Nelson/Tasman region? The answer is one! When God looks upon the earth He only has one church. City Gate Church Nelson is part of His church in the Nelson/Tasman region.

We love being part of the wider body of believers in our city.

We meet together each Sunday but also in several places in homes over the week. 

God commands us to love Him and love each other and says we are called to be conformed into the image of His Son, Jesus. Thankfully He does this work in us if we are willing. We don't have to accomplish this in our own strength.

All of us here at City Gate Church, can testify of the love and transforming power of Jesus and would love you to encounter His love too.

The apostolic message always includes "do not forget the poor" so as well as responses to needs in our own back yard, we are involved in work in countries overseas affected by war, government corruption and generational poverty and join with others to alleviate the consequences of these issues.

We believe in the biblical pattern of apostolic covering for accountability and protection from doctrinal error. True apostolic covering ensures freedom in the Body not overreach.
